The McLeod brewery in Waipu has a fantastic pizza barn to go with it. At an older age I need to avoid the glutinous bomb of such combination but separately they score five stars each on the palette.
Such a great goal for a ride and riders are looking forward to the treats here. The 16 takes us past beautiful scenery with great curves and plenty of places to stop and enjoy the view of the bay and the salted water of the Tasman sea. Then curving to Mangawhai, to get to Cove Road to smell the saltiness of the great Pacific on the other side of the North Island. Two seas in one day.
